Metering
Remote meter reading without door-to-door rounds, and leaks found sooner
Manual reading costs staff time and leaves leaks unseen until the next bill. Convivo Connect reads water, gas, heat and energy meters remotely, flags leaks, and can take over meters other makers have already installed.
What remote reading changes
No more manual rounds
Readings arrive remotely, so field teams spend less time reading meters on site.
Readings you can rely on
Regular remote readings mean fewer estimates and fewer transcription errors.
One platform for all meters
Water, gas, heat and energy meters in one EU-hosted view.
Several utilities, one platform
Utilities or municipalities share one platform, each with its own data.
From the meter to your billing system: we can run the whole reading service for you, and readings reach your billing system through open APIs.
Managed serviceTake over existing meters and receivers
Start with the meters you already have
Already have meters and water meter remote reading equipment in place? We take over meters other makers have installed and read data from your existing meter receivers. Each takeover is scoped with you.
Keep the meters in the ground
Meters and receivers other makers installed are taken over, not replaced.
Move over in steps
Devices move from the old platform as part of an agreed migration plan.
You can leave, too
When the contract ends, your data and your meters go with you. We export the data and hand over the meters, so another provider can take over.
Leak detection
Get an alert when water keeps flowing without a pause
If water keeps flowing without a pause, for example through the night, you get an alert. Unusual consumption stands out early, also between billing periods.
Water loss reduction
Leak alerts help your teams find and fix losses sooner, instead of waiting for the next reading round.
Readings can also flow in real time to the city's or the state's public data platform.
Consumption view for residents, on request
When a project needs it, we can provide a consumption view for residents or end customers. Available on request.
Gas meters
Gas meters and the valve, from the same platform
Already have gas meters? We can take over reading from the meters in place.
Read gas meters remotely, and open or close the valve from the platform, on a utility's customer meters or in your own buildings.
Heat meters
Remote heat meter reading for district heating
EU energy-efficiency rules call for installed heat meters to be remotely readable from 1 January 2027, where technically feasible and cost-effective.
Our current devices keep working as older mobile networks are switched off.
Read district-heating heat meters remotely.
Energy meters are read remotely too, in the same view as water, gas and heat.

Frequently asked questions
Do we have to replace our installed meters?
Not necessarily. We can take over meters and receivers already installed by other makers. It's scoped per project.
Does it detect leaks?
Yes. You get an alert when water keeps flowing without a pause, for example through the night.
Can we open or close a gas valve remotely?
Yes, on a utility's customer meters as well as in your own buildings. You read gas meters remotely, and open or close the valve from the platform.
Can you read heat meters?
Yes. District-heating heat meters are read remotely.
What happens if we change provider?
Your data and your meters go with you. We export the data and hand over the meters, so another provider can take over.
Can we buy the system instead of renting it?
Yes. For meters, you choose: buy outright, license or subscribe.
Can residents see their own consumption?
A resident view is available on request.
Can several utilities share one platform?
Yes. The platform is multi-tenant, and each organisation's data, users and settings stay separate.
Can readings go into our billing system or a public data platform?
Readings are available through open APIs. Data can also flow in real time to the city's or the state's public data platform.
Where is the data hosted?
In the EU.
